Air & Sixteen's

Sooooo after dusting some boxes off it was time to un-package that all important stuff labelled Accuair and Bagyard, get some caffeine based drinks and some nightshifts going, what could possibly go wrong...

we get hungry, thats all?..ohh and run out of time! (but theres always a way around that!)

So with Ultimate Dubs 2011 4 days away (3 days until we leave), we take a deep breathe, if i could take it again, it would we alot deeper!

Night 1 out the way saw some mocking up and the only thing happened to the caddy was a positive wire being fed through to the cab.

Night 2 upon us, and we saw front struts on, passenger seat out, all electrics in and wired up, fed through and chassis notch in place! With time this tight, it had to be low enough with the notch, we physically have no time for error, this was going to be on show Sunday!

Night 3 and this was it, we thought we were going to be tucked up by midnight getting some well deserved rest before the drive to Telford. How wrong i was! Elie and I (and the OCD boys) work to one standard only, this costing us extra time, making sure everything was exactly how it was meant to be done, running extra wires, extending looms and making sure earths were neat but correct, this has to work first time. Struggling on into the night while Laura White is a kip on the sofa, the OCD team leave Elie and I too it....those boys have a 1am curfew.

With the new rear beam mocked up, just a case of welding it together and bolting it on, and fixing the bags things were looking promising. Caffeine drinks out of reach thing were getting tougher and alot slower in the workshop, lets face it, we wernt getting any younger. 2,3,4,5,6am comes and goes. It was time to solder up the final 2 plugs, by this point the boys next door had turned up for work, depressing.

Well it was time to connect the battery up, bang! (nope it didnt explode) it bloody worked!

What a night, i must admit, i almost gave up. I will say Elie Joseph of Voodoo Motorsport is a machine, and without him, the boys and of course LW none of this would have been possible!

Much love and thanks to everyone who helped and put up with me, theres still alot more to come, and i will keep try to keep going with my poor blogs, short and sweet!
